Holiday family fun in the orchard

Colin and Dianne Campbell are the owner/operators of the Campbell’s Orchards on Rednersville Road. For the past 34 years, they have geared up with friends and family to host the biggest weekend of their season on their farm—Thanksgiving.

This year, the Thanksgiving Harvest Extravaganza was true to the Campbells’ philosophy of providing a fun, learning agricultural environment.

The fun includes wagon tours of the farm with Daniel Ringham (more commonly known on Twitter as @wagonguy1).

“We show people all the things that we do and the things that we grow in the area. It’s a family friendly place. We have lots of different foods, fruits and vegetables. We like to show people where your food is coming from and why it tastes different here, homegrown versus off the grocery store shelves,” said Ringham. “We try and do a little bit of educating and have a few laughs.”

In addition to the wagon rides, there is a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, fresh baking and cider and much more, including apple trees laden with fruit.
