PECI-BallteamThe PECI Panthers  played an impressive day of baseball on Tuesday at the Field of Dreams in Wellington.

They opened against St. Peter’s from Peterborough. St. Peter’s is the number one ranked team in the Kawartha District and they came out swinging taking a 5-0 lead over PECI.  The Panthers then clawed their way back to tie the visitors 5-5  forcing the game into extra innings.  At the end of the 9th inning the score was 6-5, PECI earning them the right to play in the gold medal game.

The COSSA gold medal game was against Crestwood, also from Peterborough.  It was completed in regulation time and the hometown team won in the bottom of the seventh inning with a double play eliminating Crestwood with a score of 5-3.
