Pedestrian struck in Wellington

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward Detachment are investigating an incident where a pedestrian was struck on Main Street in Wellington.

The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. on November 28, 2017. A male walked out between two parked vehicles on Main Street Wellington near East Street and was struck by a westbound pick up truck.

The victim, a 76 year old male from Wellington was transported to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 63 year old male from Trenton was not injured in the incident.

The investigation is continuing at this time.
