Three First World War vintage replica biplanes dropped into the Prince Edward Flying Club located at the Picton Airport for a brief visit Monday.  Vimy Flight: Birth of a Nation, a cross-Canada Vimy Centennial Tour, gave the public a rare chance to see these remarkable aircraft up close and personal, as well as chat to the pilots who happily answered questions, sharing their knowledge and expertise.  Spectacular weather drew a healthy crowd for those folks wishing to see the very biplanes (and meet the very pilots) who flew above the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in Vimy, France on April 9, 2017 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. This tour also forms part of Canada 150 celebrations, and you can follow the cross-country tour at vimyflight.ca.
