At the Christmas break, Luc Brown is in third place in overall scoring behind Kingston’s Anthony Rinaldi and Buffalo’s Zach Evancho—each of whom has played four and six more games, respectively, than Brown.

Familiar combatants faced off in the final of the World Junior A Challenge on Saturday in Cobourg, as Team Canada West beat Russia 2-1 to claim the championship for the fourth time since the tournament was formed.

Team Canada East lost the bronze medal game to the US by a 7-1 score.

The Dukes’ Luc Brown finished the tournament fourth in scoring with five points, including a pair of goals and three assists.

The Dukes return to action on the road in Stouffville on January 2, and in Trenton on January 6.
