Nighttime banding at PEPtBO

A saw-whet owl aims its steely gaze at the camera, or perhaps at the photographer behind it. The fall nighttime banding program at the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory is part of a continent-wide project to track the migration of these tiny predators. Their range extends from northern Canada, through the United States and into Mexico.
