Paul Farquhar (right) took top honours as Mr. Movember last year, taking home a brand new jig saw donated by Wellington Home Hardware. Farquhar and Evan Nash pose proudly before the wall of ’stache.

A month of glory and trimmed whiskers nears

Thanksgiving has come and gone— Pumpkinfest is now upon us. That means Movember can’t be far away. Movember—the month formerly known as November—is the time of year when the hair above a man’s lips is set free and allowed to grow and flourish the way God intended. It is when real men are set apart from those who merely wish they could grow a brush under their nose.

Aside from the lively sport of growing facial hair and the astonishing animal magnetism emitted by a man with a fine mustache, Movember is about raising awareness about, and funds toward research into, prostate cancer and male mental health issues.

Once again Evan Nash is leading the charge in this community toward a triumphant month of Mo. And once again Wellington Home Hardware is Movember HQ.

On Movember 1, guys may register at Wellington Home Hardware with clean-shaven faces. Then, over the next 30 days they tend their garden of whiskers and elicit support from their friends, family and colleagues toward the cause. At the end of the month the best (and worst) mustaches win prizes as well as the admiration of a community.

In the meantime the well-mustachioed men spend the month as walking, talking ambassadors of men’s health.

So this Movember let your wild side go—or support someone who dares to buck the clean shaven trend. Visit Evan at Wellington Home Hardware or go online at Movember.com.

Isn’t it about time you discovered your mustachioed you?
