A very scary Hillier Hallowe’en
On a day with frightful weather, the fearless children from in and around Hillier gathered at the village hall to celebrate Hallowe’en,where activities were abundant. Peggy Burris represented the Hillier Women’s Institute, which provided rice krispie squares for the children to decorate. There were also pumpkins to be garnished, veggie monsters to create, colouring to be done and delicious apple-maple crepes to eat. The children were also invited in to hear a story, presented by two scary witches, about a spooky town and a resident who died of fright, all the while feeling squishy, gooey “body parts”, and squealing with frightened delight!
