Bringing attention to the monarch butterfly

Three-year-old Kieran holds an animated paper butterfly that he made at Monarch Day on Saturday at Delhi Park in Picton. Led by the South Shore Joint Initiative and hosted by the Department of Illumination, the event aimed to raise awareness of the monarch butterfly. This insect migrates from the County to its winter home in Mexico, and is classed as an endangered species due to habitat loss.
