County roads update

Update #2 – 3:30 pm:

•  A wind chill warning and blowing snow warning remains in effect for Prince Edward County.
• All staff and equipment have been deployed to plow roads and sidewalks.
• Arterial roads are given priority to ensure that emergency service vehicles and residents can travel as safely as possible.
• A street parking ban is in effect from 2am – 6am. Residents are asked not to park on roads or sidewalks to allow for effective snow removal.
• Snowbanks may impact visibility of pedestrians and children. Drivers are reminded to drive with caution.
• Do not shovel snow on to the roads and sidewalks. It hinders plowing efforts, and can also result in a $75 fine.
• The County thanks drivers and residents for their continued patience as winter weather challenges continue to impact Prince Edward County.
