County weather advisory

The County of Prince Edward is issuing the following notice due to continuing snow
storm conditions:
• As a result of snow accumulation, white outs and freezing drizzle throughout Prince Edward County, visibility and driving conditions on local roadways are poor. Travel conditions will likely deteriorate and become hazardous due to heavy snow.
• There may be significant delays in snow clearing due to the amount of snow accumulation and poor visibility.
• Drivers are reminded to drive according to weather conditions and are asked to stay off the roads unless travel is necessary or until visibility and weather conditions improve.
• Members of the public are encouraged to monitor Environment Canada for the latest information on County weather conditions.
CANCELLATIONS
• The County has been advised that garbage collection scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 for Sophiasburgh and Hallowell Wards has been cancelled and re-scheduled to Saturday February 20, 2016.
• The Public Consultation Session scheduled for tonight at Massassauga- Rednersville Public School regarding the County Road 3 Reconstruction Project has been cancelled.
