Much-loved event returns to Wellington

Matt Kerby at the weigh-in of his giant pumpkin grown at his home in Ivanhoe. More than a dozen giant pumpkins vied for pumpkin supremacy as Pumpkinfest returned to Wellington for the first time since 2019. Hundreds of people gathered in the village for the parade and other events in the park and at CML Snider school. The largest pumpkin was grown by Norm Kyle and weighed 1,658.5 pounds.
