Driver injured in collision

(Prince Edward County, ON)—On March 27, 2014 at 7:26 a.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment responded to a two vehicle, motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of County Road 28 and Massassauga Road, in the Ward of Ameliasburgh. Prince Edward County Fire department and Paramedics assisted.  One driver was transported by ambulance to Belleville General Hospital for minor injuries.  Traffic was reduced to one lane for a short period of time.

A male driver, 43-year old Shawn Jones of Prince Edward County was charged with Traffic on Through Highway–Failing to Yield, contrary to Section 136(2) of the Highway Traffic Act.
