Fatal crash claims two lives

Two men are dead, and a woman and two other men are in hospital with serious to life-threatening injuries after a car driven by an 83-year old male left his lane colliding head-on with three of eight motorcycles. The collision happened on Loyalist Parkway, just west of Hillier near Stapleton Road just after 2 on Saturday afternoon. Two motorcycle riders Darren Philip WILLIAMS, 46, of Quinte West and‎ Edgar Wayne BOONE, 58, of Ottawa were pronounced dead at the scene. Three (3) others, the male driver of the car and a female passenger, 80, both of Brighton and another male, motorcycle rider, 65 of Sydenham were transported with serious to life-threatening injuries to hospital. Assisting members of the Prince Edward detachment were the Prince Edward County Fire Department, Quinte Hastings Paramedic Services and the OPP Technical Collision Investigators.
