Annual race draws kids to Bloomfield

A young racer speeds down Mill Street in Bloomfield during the annual soapbox derby. About 70 children took part in the event on Saturday, with their friends and families cheering them on. There were trophies for the best three times in each age category, and members from the local volunteer fire station helped to ensure everyone’s safety.
