A distant view of water birds on West Lake

Riker Hayes gets ready to view a raft of ducks on West Lake during the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists’ spring waterfowl watch last Saturday. The water birds that were congregated around the Wellington harbour area became dispersed through West Lake as the ice disappeared mid-week, making them harder to identify from a distance.
