Two boaters stuck in ice rescued by JRCC Trenton

There was plenty of excitement in Wellington on Sunday, as members from the OPP, Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue and Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Trenton rescued two people in a dinghy fitted with a trolling motor that was stranded approximately one kilometre off shore in Lake Ontario. The water was clear earlier in the day, but high winds pushed pack ice into the bay, leaving the pair with no way to free their vessel.
