Concern and compassion as war engulfs Ukraine

A candle is lit during Monday’s prayer vigil at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Picton. Over 50 people came through the afternoon to sit in silence and meditate or grieve over the plight of the Ukrainian people as their country is beset by war. A book with messages of support will be forwarded to the Ukrainian embassy. The “circle of light” will be re-lit for the next six Sundays.
