Women pepper sprayed
Police were called to a Union Street home in Picton on Tuesday after three women said a man had sprayed them with bear repellant. Bear repellant is a form of pepper spray widely available at sporting or hunting supply stores. Members of the OPP K-9 and emergency response team scoured the streets nearby. The accused was located at a Richmond St., Picton address.
Police learned the male was an ex-common law spouse of one of the victims of the spraying. The accused is facing several of assault and weapons charges. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing Wednesday.
