Invasive species that many think look grand and beautiful. Truth is these Mute Swans are extremely aggressive and drive out ducks, loons, terns , redwinged blackbirds from their natural nesting areas. Further they destroy the natural lake plants as unlike native waterfowl they pull the vegetation out by the roots. Terrific damage. There needs to be control measures including a hunting season.
