Annual springtime paddle down the river

Since 1995 paddlers have gathered at Karen and Harley Guernsey’s place on the bank of the Black River in Milford for a Victoria Day paddle. After an absence due to the pandemic, the annual paddle has returned, although this time boaters just paddled halfway down the river and then back to the start point. About 30 watercraft took part this year, with the vast majority being kayaks. Afterwards, paddlers gathered at St. Philip’s Church in Milford for a hotdog lunch. The freewill donations will be used for the church’s outreach programs.
