County storm update

Garbage collection has been suspended in Prince Edward County until further notice. Recycling will continue to be picked up until further notice.

New: Garbage that was not collected today (Jan 7) will be picked up on Saturday January 11. Please ensure garbage is at the curb by 7:00 am.

There is broken water main on East Mary Street in Picton. Mary Street in Picton will be closed from Bridge St. to York St. and is expected to open at approximately 9:00 pm tonight.

Mandatory construction work is taking place and heavy equipment will limit visibility. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

Reduced water pressure and possible coloured water may be experienced. The water remains safe for use.

Loyalist Parkway remains closed south of Consecon. Traffic has been rerouted to County Road 1.

New: Due to winds, a burn ban will remain in effect for Prince Edward County until further notice.
